On Tuesday the 18th, I had the privilege to attend the launch event for the new FabYouLess Card, the event was really well organised and enjoyed by all, the nicest eclectic mix of people attended. I spent some time talking with Antonia Mariconda the alias Cosmedic Coach and some of our favourite soap stars including Debbie Arnold, Helen Lederer, Kim Tiddy (From the Bill) unfortunately on this occasion didn’t manage to see “Downton Abbeys Cook” the alias Mrs Patmore played by Lesley Nicol.
Although the event was supposed to have only have around 75 attendees, they had over 150, we were so pleased the event was such a big success for them, a job well done guys…
More info on the card
The Fabyouless Card which even at launch is the largest dedicated beauty, hair and fitness card in the UK. It brings together an extensive network of providers – including spas, clinics, salons, gyms and personal trainers nationwide – with potential customers who want to use their services. It’s a marriage made in heaven!
The beauty, hair and fitness professionals offer 25% off and/or two-for-one offers, and unlike daily-deal/wheeler-dealer sites, Fabyouless Card holders will always be able to get a guaranteed, consistent reduction in the amount they pay for the treatments or services they want. What’s more the providers could be the professionals they usually visit – in which case they can continue to do so… just pay less for the privilege. However if Card holders find their preferred provider is not signed up or they can’t locate one in their area, the Fabyouless Card Team will just seek them out and encourage them to join in.
This mutually beneficial scheme is designed to reward both providers and consumers equally. Consumers receive a personalised Fabyouless Card and can use it as often as they like to take advantage of perpetual discounts with over 1,250 beauty hair and fitness providers. As an added benefit, Card holders will be contacted via social media to alert them to spaces in providers’ appointments schedules or special promotions, which will be over and above their regular discounts. The Fabyouless Card website is constantly updated with news and Card holders will also receive a regular newsletter containing information about new venues, new trends and new products which are available to them. Card holders then visit the website – www.fabyouless-card.com – to find details of all the participating providers – which can be searched by area, and can read more about them on each dedicated page to find their perfect match. They then simply book an appointment via the Fabyouless Card website or direct with their selected provider using their computer, smartphone or tablet.
Enticingly there is no joining fee for beauty, hair and fitness providers to participate in the scheme and they keep 100 per cent of the money they charge, so there is no erosion of their profit margins. Not only that, they are given a free page on the Fabyouless Card website, providing them with a slick and professional-looking web presence at no cost to themselves, giving them a ‘shop window’ to publicise their services, and allows Card holders to book directly with them at a click. Providers also receive inspirational blogs containing the latest updates along with ways to enhance their sales.
As a result even before launch over 1,250 providers have already signed up – excited by the prospect of more clients being driven to seek out their services, spend more money or attend more frequently – and the number of sign-ups is increasingly daily.
A winning combination
The Fabyouless Card is the brainchild of two people with complementary skills who had a similar vision to link providers directly with motivated clients, to their mutual benefit. Jo Kent runs Applied Intelligent Marketing, who are experts in creating and activating large scale business-to-customer acquisition and retention campaigns. She has worked with brands including O2, New Look and Carphone Warehouse to encourage and reward customer and staff loyalty. With the launch of The Fabyouless Card she has been able to apply her considerable know-how and over thirty years of expertise in the field of ‘Please and Thank You Marketing’. Meanwhile Debbie Arnold has enjoyed a successful career as an actress in television, film and theatre – she has the dubious honour of being the only actress in the UK who has appeared in every major TV soap in the last 30 years as a regular character! She has also been the face of Etam and Goldwell and is passionate about beauty and getting the best value for consumers, which she championed in beauty columns for many top magazines and national newspapers. She has now taken on a new role as Brand Ambassador for the Fabyouless Card.
Fabyouless Card has partnered with the British Association of Beauty Therapy and Cosmetology (BABTAC) and is in talks with similar representative bodies to offer consumers the reassuring backing and high quality standards from the members of professional organisations.
The Fabyouless Card can also be given as a present and it is a gift that goes on giving, as unlike traditional gift vouchers, it is not a one-off experience, the card can be used ad infinitum for a whole year. Fabyouless Cards can also be purchased in bulk for employee benefits, staff incentives, customer acquisition and retention activity, prize draws and member benefit schemes.
The following groups are amongst the 1,250 providers which have already signed up to the Fabyouless Card:
– Amida Spas
– Bannatyne Spas
– Biothecare Esletika
– Blossom and Jasmine
– Mcdonald Hotels
– Mercure Hotels
– Radisson Blu
– Return To Glory
– Sanrizz Studios
